Competition Rules:
1. All anglers must be acquainted with and adhere to the rules of the competition. Failure of the above will result in immediate disqualification.
2. Entries will only be processed once payment is confirmed.
3. Identity tags must be worn by all anglers to avoid disqualification.
4. All anglers must collect their ID wristbands from Dam 1/Fairview Dam: a. between 3pm and 7pm on 3 October, ORb. from 5am on the morning of the competition.
5. Anglers can enter on the day at Dam 1/Fairview Dam from 5am.
6. Pre-entries close on Friday, 26 September 2025.
7. Only artificial lures to be used.
8. Only live fish with mouth closed to be measured.
9. All fish to be released immediately after measuring.
10. The dam officials decision is final.
11. Fishing will be from shore, canoes and boats with sneaker motors - as specified per dam.
12. Dams are kindly sponsored by private land owners for this day ONLY - please respect their property & privacy.
13. Respect & be considerate of your fellow anglers.
14. Only ONE 1st adult & junior prize per angler.
15. Power boats to be used with a sneaker motor only.
16. The longest ADULT fish wins the adults prize and the longest JUNIOR fish wins the junior prize, even if the junior fish is longer than the adult's fish.
17. Fishing starts 05h30, last fish to be measured at 16h00.
18. Both Adults and Juniors contend for the one main overall Prize of the longest bass fish caught on the day.
19. In the event of a tie there will be a draw between the parties.
20. In the event of no fish caught at a dam the prize goes into the lucky draw.
21. For the lucky draw you need to be present at the prize giving with your ID wristband.
22. If a dam has not been fished by 14H00, the committee has the right to close it.
23. Food and refreshments are available at Dam 1 (Fairview Dam)
24. Toilet facilities are available at Dam 1 (Fairview Dam)
25. As per the South African POPI Act 4 of 2013, by signing this form you give consent to the Winterton Lutheran Church to process all personal information supplied on this form as well as consent to use photographs taken at the event on their social media platforms and for future marketing opportunities. All information supplied and photographs taken will be handled as per the POPI policy.
